My name is Courtney. I have been married to the love of my life for 19 years.
We have 3 kids: Karis- 17, Ethan-14, and Levi-13.
Our life is just the way we want it, and I praise God for all that He has done.
We live at a Christian camp in the Texas hill country where my husband is the Wilderness Director. The camp is in the middle of nowhere; it can be difficult sometimes, but it is worth it. We have a community of about 100 people, and I have some great friends. We are truly a family. We live on 1400 acres with dozens of hiking and biking trails, rock climbing cliffs, kayaking/swimming on a beautiful river, and so much more!
The boys are homeschooled and Karis goes to a “local” school (which is an hour away!). We have had a lot of ups and downs and changes in our schooling, but this is where we are at the moment.
We have a little homestead complete with 16 chickens and a small raised bed garden.
We love our pup, Loki. He’s the bestest boy.
Our family loves the outdoors. We love to camp, hike, sit around the fire in our “backyard,” be in the high desert, and be in the mountains. We have lots of hiking trails outside our door where we live and it has been amazing having that opportunity. We have a clear river just down the hill. We don’t take advantage of where we live enough, and we are working on that!
Most importantly, I love Jesus. My relationship with Him has really grown lately, and I am leaning into Him and His plan even through hardship. He has shown me that He uses all things for good (Romans 8:28), and He will finish a good work in me (Philippians 1:6). He is a good, good Father who gives good gifts.

I really enjoyed reading “Loving Myself As Is”. I saw myself in the words you wrote. Thank you for sharing.
I’m glad I finally found your Blog. I’ve been looking for it. Hmm maybe that’s something you should think about. Any way, I’m looking forward to reading several of your links. I’m especially looking forward to finally seeing what “THM.”
I actually don’t do THM anymore. It was too much. I’m learning to be happy with who I am.
Hi! Do you still homeschool, too, or have you swapped to something different? I ask because I noticed that in the description on your Facebook page, but I haven’t seen anything about it yet while just browsing your blog. Either way, I’d love to hear about whatever your experience with it has been. 🙂
I don’t homeschool anymore. My mental illness made it impossible.
I need to update my page. Whoops.
That’s really understandable! Kudos to you for acknowledging your limits and resting in God’s providence elsewhere. ❤
Thank you! I have finally given control to God because I have tried to make many things work that weren’t from Him (only from my desires). He has brought so much peace lately. It’s wonderful.
