About Me

My name is Courtney. Β I have been married to the love of my life for 21 years.

We have 3 kids: Karis- 19, Ethan-16, and Levi-15

We love our pup, Loki. He’s the bestest boy.

We live on site at a Christian camp in Colorado. We have a simple life, and that has been the best for all of us.

I homeschool my two teenage sons, and my daughter is now in college!

I work part time doing outdoor education and recreation at the camp where we live, and I’m also slowly working on a memoir.

I enjoy the outdoors/nature, cooking and baking, learning about and implementing evidence-based nutrition, moving my body, creating homeschooling units, writing, and reading among many other things.

In creating this blog, I want to make sure that I am honoring who I am, in all my imperfection and knowing that I canNOT do a lot of things that I would love to, and I’ve decided that I’m okay with that! I also have mental health considerations (this tends to be seasonal).

  1. I really enjoyed reading “Loving Myself As Is”. I saw myself in the words you wrote. Thank you for sharing.

  2. I’m glad I finally found your Blog. I’ve been looking for it. Hmm maybe that’s something you should think about. Any way, I’m looking forward to reading several of your links. I’m especially looking forward to finally seeing what “THM.”

  3. Hi! Do you still homeschool, too, or have you swapped to something different? I ask because I noticed that in the description on your Facebook page, but I haven’t seen anything about it yet while just browsing your blog. Either way, I’d love to hear about whatever your experience with it has been. πŸ™‚
