There has been a LOT going on here in the Crosland household. Maybe one day I can talk about it online, but for now, I’ll just talk about the things that God has been teaching me through it.
Learned a New Term for My Experiences
Yesterday when I was meeting virtually with my counselor, I learned a new term.

This has been an explanation for my anxiety the past few months.
We have asked God for provision for something and He has provided ten-fold, but we are a bit overwhelmed.
I almost always struggle more this time of year, and while positive stress has been happening, it’s different than usual. Gratefully. I’m blown away by God’s good gifts.
God is Teaching Robert and Me the Same Thing
I love being in unity with my partner. Sometimes this doesn’t happen. But Robert and I have been seeking God so closely lately, and we have even been studying the same things. We have been praying more together than ever before and have just had a lot of open communication. The good, the bad, and the ugly. Our intimacy with our Creator has grown, which has grown Robert and I together as well. It’s really beautiful how that works.
Last night and this morning Robert has been preparing to speak at our staff retreat. God made some things clear for him that God has been working in me as well. I love it so much, and honestly, it brings so much peace. God gives good gifts.
One of my favorite reels on Instagram by Steffany Gretzinger says this:
“He is our calling, this is not.” (pointing at the instruments)
Watch this reel to hear what else she has to say!
Sometimes it’s easy to get caught up in “what is God calling me to do?” Or what is “my calling?”
Jesus is our calling. Seeking His Kingdom is our calling. Period.
“Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.” Matthew 6:33 (NLT)
Robert is going to be talking about how Jonah was ignoring what God was telling him to do, and God brought glory to Himself anyway. God doesn’t need us; He chooses to use us which is honestly amazing.
At the end of the day, my goal is to love Jesus, make Him known, love others (even when it’s hard), serve my family, and serve in other capacities when given the opportunity.
My prayer is that He is glorified through me as I spend time with Him and love others well.
God gives good gifts. Ultimately, HE is the best gift. And through Him, we have an overflow of His fruit in our lives.
